The Marlowe Theatre is a 1,200-seat performance venue in Canterbury, Kent, rebuilt and reopened in 2011 on the site of a former 1930s cinema. Designed by architect Keith Williams, the facility features a prominent 26-metre high flytower and a multi-level foyer constructed with floor-to-ceiling glass. The complex contains a main auditorium with two tiers of seating and a secondary 150-capacity studio for smaller productions. It serves as a regional hub for major touring musicals, ballet, and opera, and is architecturally distinguished by its colonnaded exterior and its riverside location adjacent to the Stour.
